
Breathing and Physiotherapy Coach
Carla has been a practicing physiotherapist for 11 years, specialising in treating breathing pattern and lung conditions. Prior to this she spent 16 years working with people to help them manage complexity in their lives.
Working as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner with a specialism in respiratory conditions Carla works with patients with acute illness or where short-term adaptations have become unhelpful long-term habits.
Carla continues working in the NHS. Alongside this she has a private practice where she can spend more time with people.
Her model is to coach you through the tools for change and support you while you get used to using them. Carla typically recommends carrying the tools for change into your life independently with the option of refresher sessions if required.
Treatment involves an initial assessment lasting approximately an hour followed by 3 or 4 sessions lasting 40 minutes.

Breathing is centrally monitored by our nervous system and yet can be consciously controlled to create change.
