Breathing and Physiotherapy Coach (Scotland)
I have been a practicing Chartered Physiotherapist for 12 years. I specialise in treating breathing pattern disorders and lung conditions. Prior to this I spent 16 years working with people to help them manage complexity in their lives.
Working as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner with a specialism in respiratory conditions I work with patients with acute illness or where short-term adaptations have become unhelpful long-term habits.
I continue to working in the NHS. Alongside this I have a private practice where I can spend more time with people.
I’m a Bradcliff Breathing Method practitioner. In my private practice I can offer assessment and treatment to people aged 13years and over.
My model is to coach you through the tools for change and support you while you get used to using them. I typically recommend transferring the tools for change into your life independently with the option of refresher sessions if required.
Treatment involves an initial assessment lasting approximately an hour followed by 3 or 4 sessions lasting 40 minutes.
Breathing and You
Breathing well is the foundation for movement, health and well-being (Bradcliff Breathing Method)
Breath is our connection to the world.
It is the first sign of change and is the key to how we respond.
Breathing is centrally monitored by our nervous system and yet can be consciously controlled to create change.
